Repeat hike, lots of pictures.

Our Location:
Superstition Mountain BLM, Apache, Junction, AZ
Not much to write about today, Riley and I did  a bit of a hike this morning, took us about 3 hours, we went just a bit past the big rock we hiked to with Doug a few days ago. The heat plays a factor for Riley while hiking and so we left earlier but it was still hot enough we couldn't go very far. Oh well, at least we got out and about.
So for that reason today is going to be a picture day. Enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your visit today. Feel free to leave a comment.

This guy is camped in the big pit where the off road vehicle tear up and down the sides with reckless abandon. He is also camped inside the National Forest Boundaries.
Until  next time... take care, be safe,

These two were getting ready to go on a trail ride, but we seen numerous others already out and about. At least 6 or 8 others in various places along the trail.

  1. Was the square hole near where you are camped? I haven't seen it so was wondering for next time we are there. You guys have been at Superstition for a long time now. Have fun.

    1. It was on our hike, not near where we're camped. I could describe it to you but I don't think it's easy to find. We just happened on to it.

We will hit our 14 days on Monday. It's been fun.

    1. Thanks Vern. I'm glad you enjoyed the hike.

We haven't seen any snakes but I've heard of a few folks that have recently and I'm happy to be leaving soon. That wouldn't sit well with me either. I'm not a snake person.

  4. Beautiful pictures Deb. I saw the same clouds that looked like someone was raking the sky. Neat. And more nice pictures of Superstition Mountain. I always like those.

Glad you had a relaxing day.

    1. Thanks George.

We enjoyed the hike, the pictures were fun to snap here and there. I missed a number of horses but I still enjoyed the views.

  7. That big hole (cave?) is spooky. Someone would have to pay me big bucks to peek in there.
Glad you are still enjoying your hikes.

    1. I was pretty careful around the edges, it wouldn't have been easy to climb out and you could easily break something falling. I'm sure there were a few dead things down there that couldn't get back out, but I didn't see anything except a stick.

Love the hikes, always fascinating to see around the area.
