Our Location:
Mrs. G’s Rv Park, Loraine, Texas
We pulled out this morning shortly after 7. We passed thru Dallas/Fort Worth and moved right along I-20 W. We stopped a number of times to stretch our legs and just get out of the truck.
Approaching Dallas. |
A great many ramps. |
Interesting, don’t you think? |
We pulled in here around 1:30. Not a park we would come back to spend any time but for this trip we will spend the two nights and then move on.
A small glimpse of our views today. |
One of the biggest flags I have ever seen. |
Chatted with dad for a while, they too had a good day although it appears rain my be in the offing for them.
It’s complicated. |
I am considering going to an rv dealership and asking someone to explain these dials to me. I followed the u tube video I found explaining how to set it for city water but it still isn’t working. I should have insisted that they dewinterize it before we left. Oh well, another glitch.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by.
Until next time………..
Take care, stay safe,
Deb
Perhaps someone in the park could fiddle with it. A lot cheaper than an RV place. You can't hurt anything by turning the knobs one way and the other. The only thing I see is the first red knob should be facing to the right I think. Also wondering if you are hooked up to the sewer tank flush fitting. That little black shut off is making me think that. Maybe try hooking your hose up to the fresh water one below it. Also make sure you have water in your hot water tank before turning it on or it will burn out the element. Its hard to tell unless I am there to fiddle with the knobs. Enjoy your down time.
ReplyDeleteI’m not afraid to try anything, I turned things in many directions with the same results. I also thought about the wrong connection for water, but it says city water connection, the other looks to me like fresh water holding tanks the the one on the extreme right I believe to be the black water flush. However I’m not sure. I’m not turning the hot water tank on until I am sure of this thing. Thanks for the input.

Deb, each of those sections shows what position each valve should be in for that function to happen. The red valve should be pointing to the right, the blue valve pointing straight down and the black valve pointing to the right. The hose connection looks confusing. You usually don't have two fresh water connections.
ReplyDeleteI agree, they all indicate a section of the system . Three values, city connection, fresh water and water heater. The video differed from you, red to the left, blue down, black to the right. I thought the water connection thing was odd too. I can’t find a manual on line and there is no manual with it. Maybe today I’ll try a few other things and see how they work. Thanks for the imput, I appreciated it very much.

The two handles are the dump valves, one for the black and one for the grey. The bottom right hose connection is for the black tank flush, I am wondering if the one beside it is the grey tank flush. To fill your fresh water tank, all three valves need to be pointing to the right.
ReplyDeleteThe handles I know, the black flush I also know, the water connection I thought I knew but I’m guessing I had the dials wrong, making the water come out an overflow.
DeleteIt is the wee hours before dawn and my mind is finally adding all this up…. I think I may have figured it out, thanks to you and Lorne giving my brain a push in the right direction. I truly do appreciate the help Gentlemen.
Deb
Sounds like Bill and Lorne had some great advice. For me, I need to fiddle with them until I figure it out. Once you get it figured out, it will become easy.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I’m not worried about playing around with them but the demo guy wasn’t helpful at all. I think he knew about as much as I do. Lol. Today will be a day to play around some more, and I’m sure with the advice above it will all work out.

Sorry, I don't know my left from right sometimes. The red should be to the left, blue down black to the right.
ReplyDeleteLol. Yeah, I figured that out Bill.

What Bill said. Also, for whatever reason, if the outside shower faucet handle is turned on (if you have one), I do not get water in my rig. Took me awhile to figure out that one, so now I never turn that outside faucet on. Otherwise, I'd be calling the place I bought it from.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy. I’ve called them about a few things.

Oh one other thing, you should not adjust those valves while under water pressure.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill.

Tom and I are late to this party but he agrees with the advice from Bill. Lorne, and Nancy above. I personally have no advice...lol What I do know is you are one resourceful lady and you will figure it out. I cannot believe there is no manual, of course, most manuals that come with stuff these days are useless. Hope you squeeze in some relaxing while you are at that stop....Hi Riley!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb, hi Tom. ( Riley). Thanks Tom. Thanks Deb, I appreciate the confidence.

Glad someone knows what they're doing, you included! It all kids more confusing than a jigsaw puzzle to me!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Patsy. It’s comforting to see all the responses of help.

Lots of advice, so I won't jump in. I have enough problems with my dials. Moving along nicely. That's good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for thought Doug. We will be moving again starting tomorrow.
