Our Location:
Walmart, Franklin, Ky
A very cold night in Wapakoneta last night, we dipped a fair amount below that number we call freezing and a cold wind didn’t help. However the sun popped out and the rest of the day was sunny and warmer. Tonight will be cold but we will stay above the freezing mark by a few degrees. The warmer temps are coming back and we are running south to find them.
Snow in the London, Ontario region on Wednesday. |
All is well on The Rock in the waters of Lake Huron. The snow is melting and pretty much gone, the big brush pile in the pit is gone, and the folks are doing well. Sister is off to Ottawa for a few days to visit her youngest daughter and family. They recently moved back from Newfoundland.
Yep, we made it into Kentucky. |
Some other news to share, Riley and I couldn’t roll the wheels south any sooner because we were waiting….
Here. For this……. |
Meet Igloo 2.0 |
We decided the original Igloo was getting tired of the long drive and it was time for something different. We opted for this newer, lighter, and a weeeee bit shorter Open Range Light.
It pulls well. |
We started moving things Tuesday afternoon, spent the night in the new rig in the yard outside the fence and resumed moving things again on Wednesday morning inside the fence. We were finished around 1 pm, hit the road by 2, pulled into Wapakoneta around 10. A few little issues but all is going well. We are stuffed to the rafters, unsure where anything is, winterized and happy.
A bigger kitchen area. |
I called Wayfarers Insurance to change the rig on my full timers policy and was informed that Orbit (new owners) have decided not to offer that service any longer. I have about 12 more days to find another company. I am not having any luck but I will think of something to get us thru the winter and back home and then delve into it more deeply. In a few days we will get into a park and do a number of things and I will hopefully have answers by then.
More seating. |
Anyway, there you have it. We were delayed but are rolling along now. I hope you enjoyed the sneak peek.
Until next time…..
Take care, stay safe,
Deb
It looks like a very nice unit, congratulations! I hope you find full time insurance. We get our insurance through Aviva if that is any help to you.
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, I think we will like it.
DeleteThanks also for the insurance info, our current policy was with Wayfarers, bought by Orbit but Aviva was the underwriter and here in Ontario according to a lady from Wayfarers/Orbit, they will not be offering it.
Deb
Looks nice, drive safe!
ReplyDeleteThanks. We will.

Wow, congratulations. That is a nice looking FW. Safe travels. Vern
ReplyDeleteThanks Vern. I think we will like it!

New unit looks great & the lighter weight will make a difference in fuel usage.Aviva insurance if not supporting you in Ontario may be able to refer you to who will.On to warmer weather & all the best.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Fuel mileage is good, the Dogsled seems to like this new running partner. Yes, that thought crossed my mind as well. I will contacting them and asking that same question.

Nice choice Deb, it looks really good. Safe travels and enjoy the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I think we will like it! We are getting closer to better temps everyday. We can wait in Texas if you two want to catch up!

Lol, I would love that, but the trailer is tucked away in the garage for the winter. Maybe next year.
DeleteNot enough snow to keep it locked in there! Lol.
DeleteDeb
Congratulations on the new Igloo 2.0, a nice looking rig.
ReplyDeleteLooks like we will be in the same way for insurance, as Aviva is who we have also.
This I do know, Wayfarer will be losing our car and truck policy next fall when they come up for renewal.
Thanks Bill.
DeleteI’m still searching and will let you know what I find, but out of the dozen I’ve contacted the answer has been no. I contacted Aviva directly today, hopefully they can offer something.
Deb
LOVE IT!! Congratulations. It's so bright and cheery!! I know the "can't find anything" pain, but it will shape up over the winter. I've heard many say they are having trouble with insurance. Hope you find a solution soon. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mzzzzz Kissack. It is a very cheesy rig inside and out. We will sort out the can’t find problem soon, I can’t live like this, makes me crazier. Lol. Insurance is a pain and I’m not sure what the answer is but I need to find soon or come up with a plan of some kind. We shall see what happens.

Well that was a nice surprise. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteThanks Elva. We weren’t sure which rig we were going to get and so just kept everything quiet except for a few family members.
