The last visit to Los Algodones....

Our Location:

North of MM 4, Ogilby Road, Winterhaven, California

A lovely sunrise this morning, warm breezes and blue skies worked for us. Deb,  Tom, Riley and I headed out at about 10 am this morning for Los Algodones, Mexico for the last time. A very leisurely day it was there, no lines coming home and except for the line of cars going into Mexico there were few people around. The line of cars going into Mexico backed up almost all the way to the canal but very few were entering the parking area.

A wonderful day with a few purchases, lunch and a couple of adult beverages. Warm temps and friendly smiling faces, a perfect day. We headed home with only about a 10 minute wait at customs. Home around 4:30 pm MST to see Doug and Yuma watching us drive up. A quick happy hour and we all went our own ways. Chatted with Dad who told me about Hudson's skating party.  Happy 2nd Birthday Hudson, son of Jason and Leah. Jason is my nephew.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all had a wonderful day.

We had an adult beverage here, there was live music and we chatted with the folks next to us for a bit.

Safely through customs and on our way to the Little Black Limo.

Until next time...

Take care, stay safe,

Deb

  1. The short return line is always a nice plus. A beautiful day to spend on the fun-side-of-the-border !

    1. It is and it was. Short lines are always preferred and the day was perfect, lots of sunshine, warmth and good friends. A perfect combination.

  2. Sounds like our visit last Saturday when I had to get out and walk. Apparently it is like that every Saturday when a lot of people go home for the weekend.

    1. The car line was still long when we were coming home. We had to squeeze out of the parking lot.

  4. I love it when the line is short. It's nice to visit and see the sights, but I'm always relieved when I get back through the gate.

    1. I don’t worry about crossing the border, we have been doing it for years, not into/out of Mexico but Canada/USA. It’s the same Customs Rules, answer honestly and with nothing to hide you should be good. They may haul you to the side for a longer chat but if you didn’t lie, aren’t hiding anything, have no outstanding warrants they have no reason to hold you up any longer. Of course I could be wrong, and you should worry. Lol

    1. It was a fantastic visit and the year while not our usual has been very special for us. I was happy to share the sunrise! The waiting in line was something we should keep in mind for another time. LOL
