North of MM 4, Ogilby Road, Winterhaven, California
A windy morning but bright blue skies and a bit warmer temperatures. Morning coffee time was outside but it was closer to 2 pm when it ended. Back home for lunch and to edit a few photos.
While looking out the window I noticed a silver truck pulling in near the White Lion. Before long a familiar voice called out and I recognized Ivan (Roadtrip ) as our visitor. Outside at the Stinger B we meet fellow Canadians, Ernie and Deb, whom we met our first year out in the desert, and Don and Donna (Driving Miss Donna ), all of them hail from the western provinces of Alberta, and Saskatchewan. Deb & Tom ( Celebrating the Dance ), Doug ( Miss Adventure Travels ), Riley and I were surprised but delighted when they all showed up. Laughs of course, problems solved, things were learned and a good time was had by all. We hope to see them again before we all leave the area.
Chatted with my dad again tonight. Lots of snow there, at least a foot and more on the way in the next few days. Cold also has settled in for a while. Condolences to the McGauley family in the passing of Stacey, at far too young an age.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all had an enjoyable day!
Until next time...
Take care, stay safe,
Too bad there are not more spots protected from the wind a bit. It's sure been a year unlike any other.ReplyDelete
I wonder if it’s a welcome back Canadians thing, the cold and wind! Lol. I thought maybe Doug could put the WL between us and the wind but apparently he didn’t like that idea! LolDelete
You guys sure look all bundled up in that last picture!ReplyDelete
Except for a few of the new arrivals who wore shorts, the rest of us less hardy folks were well bundled. As you know the sinking sun also makes the air chilly and we all moved once to get back into the sun.Delete
How fun to have such a large Happy Hour! Hopefully temps are warming for you, still looks cool from the last picReplyDelete
It was warmer than the day before and as I write this it is looking wonderful at 51f at 8 am with no wind. Yeah!Delete
