A very quiet day....

Our Location:

North of MM 4, Ogilby Road, Winterhaven, California

No wind, then a slight breeze and then once again, no wind, a slight breeze. Can you see how this day went? The blue skies and the warmer temps had us changing from long pants to shorts to long pants and jackets as the sun went down. A very quiet day of rest and visiting. The only photos were of a few fly overs as some helicopters whizzed over head.

Can you see him up there?

Chatted with Dad tonight, lots of snow, blowing, drifting, and maybe a little snow fall but lots of snow moving around. It snowed too hard to go to the bush to cut wood, crossing the field was white out conditions. So that gives you an idea of what the weather was like. Cold, cold, cold was also the word used. According to Wiarton Willy the local groundhog, only 6 more weeks of winter. Although Willy isn't always a very good prognosticator we hope he's right this time.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've had a nice day.

Until next time...

Take care, stay safe,

Deb

  1. Your Dad is a strong man to be out cutting wood in the cold of a Canadian winter. It was a very nice day to just relax and enjoy the warm weather. 😊

    1. Well my Dad is well Dad. He is always doing something. He also heats with wood so he has an incentive.

  2. It was a good day. The noise was so loud I thought we were going to see a helicopter land out here. Back a couple of days...those are some great pictures of the Calcite Mine Slot Canyon.

    1. Thanks. Yep those helicopters can get a wee bit loud at times. But at least they aren’t low enough to stir up the dust.

  3. The planes and helicopters in Yuma sounded like they were going to land on my rig. They were really flying low and slow!!

    1. Maybe they were eyeing up your new rug and wanted a closer look. Lol

  4. I'd rather be relaxing inside than splitting wood. You Canadians are a tough bunch!
