A quiet day….

Our Location:

Road Runner BLM, Quartzsite, Arizona

A chilly start to the morning but it warmed up nicely with the sun shining brightly. The wind picked up later in the day and a wind advisory has been issued for tomorrow.

The White Lion roared away today but only made it to Pitstop before it died. Texting back and forth with Doug, Deb and I decide to head into town to check things out and do an errand. We found Doug barely off the road, blocking part of the entrance. Finally we were able to ensure a tow was on the way and we Debs left, heading home but not directly. We spent some time checking out a few other spots in this BLM area.

Happy Hour was a bit windy and the air started cooling off quickly sending us all inside. I chatted with Dad for a while, did a few little putzy things, did a little reading, texted with Doug and Deb a bit before heading off to bed. Not a good sleeping night for me.

We have plans for a morning Jeep ride to a place Riley and I haven’t been before. I’m looking forward to it.

Todays photos are just a few photos that aren’t really connected to much but will show of a few little improvements I’ve made over the last few weeks.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope had a great day.

Until next time…..

Take care, stay safe,

Deb

  1. Nice improvements ... I bet that heater is awesome!!! Love the knife holder. I have one, just haven't installed it yet. I never thought about it holding the other stuff though. Great idea!

    1. The heater is awesome,we are looking forward to many years of use from it. The magnet works well, we just have to try a few more things while we travel. That will be a good test.

  2. Ditto Nancy's comment. Except I don't have a knife holder ready to install. But it could happen.

    1. It's handier and it takes up less space than a knife block which sits on the counter. I think we will like it a lot when we get used to it.

  3. Poor Doug! I sure hope it is nothing serious and he is back back on the road again soon.

  4. I too have thought of replacing the radio/DVD with a DVD/Blu-ray, we never use the radio. You're getting me inspired.

    1. It was an easy choice and the little player fits perfectly. It takes up less room, we don't have to worry about where to put it. I velcroed the bottom to the ledge to ensure it won't pop out while we travel.

  5. I'm curious if the knife holder will hold everything as you travel down those nasty state highways we were talking about. Let me know! I always get excited when i find things to improve living in our home on wheels!

    1. We too are curious about the knives, so far we have only tried the strainer and the grater, both stayed but we didn't go far, just to RV Lifestyles. The first few times we travel we will leave a little more there each time until eventually we will know how it works. I will let you know as we know more.

  6. Nice changes. I'm also curious if your magnet holder holds stuff when you are traveling. I love the NHL tissue box :-)

    1. Thanks. I will keep everyone in the know about the magnet and how well it does or doesn't work. Even if we have to store the knives for travel it will still be a bonus for the times we sit. No knife block on the counter is a huge space opened up.

  7. Love the new heater and holder! Always fun to find something that works and makes things better in the home. Poor Doug, hopefully he'll get something figured out :(
