A day of errands…

Our Location:

North of MM 4, Ogilby Road, Winterhaven, California

A nice warmish day with a slight breeze but lots of sun. No coffee hour this morning, Riley and I had a number of errands to run. They required the whole morning and we were not completely successful but we did get what groceries we required along with a full tank of diesel, which by the way was $4.33 per gallon.

The church at Felicity, California.

Back home we put away the groceries and cleaned up the yard, stowing everything in preparation for our move tomorrow. Lunch was simple and quick before I joined the others for a shortened version of happy hour. Doug was off to watch the Super Bowl, and I headed home before the sun was down as it was cool with shorts and a light hoodie.

Blurry but Felicity considers itself the centre of the world.

A chat with dad, and sister who was visiting him, a few chapters in my book, a quick post and I called it a day.  If everything goes well our next stop will be eastward which also means we will be starting our homeward journey very slowly but it will be our intent with every move to head east, maybe not northward too soon but eastward. Our wheels need to touch Ontario dirt by mid April.

As you head into California you must pass through the Agricultural checkpoint.

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time…

Take care, stay safe,

Deb

  2. Felicity IS the "Center of the World" and is recognized as such in the French Bibiotec. I've stood at the "Center" 3 times, but the real reason to stop is the "History of the World in Granite". The etchings are quite captivating.
Safe travels as you start your journey east.

    1. Thanks Jeff for the information but I have no interest in granite, it was our competitor, we were in the Corian business. Lol. Thanks also for the safe wishes.

    1. We pass by often and I always think of the song Stairway to Heaven when we go past the circular stairway that leads upward to basically no where. It is an odd place Felicity.

    2. The spiral staircase are original from the Eifel Tower. I'll have to plug my blog, it has a decent summary of what is within Felicity.

    3. Yes I am aware that the staircase is from the Eiffel Tower, thanks Jeff. I still think of the song Stairway to Heaven.

  5. Diesel in Tucson is listed at $4.19, but I was surprised to find some at Picture Rocks for $4.09, so of course I filled up. Safe travels if you are hitting the road today!

    1. Thanks Ivan, we arrived at Q safely. Wow that is a fantastic price for diesel, hopefully it stays like that or lower as we all start migrating homeward.
