We slipped into Los Algodones again today….

Our Location:

North of MM 4, Ogilby Road, Winterhaven, California

We had plans this morning to visit Mexico one last time today. This was our last visit for this winter season. We headed out around 10 am, and reached Mexico a short time later. We had two things on our to do list, we wanted some baskets and to have lunch. We found the baskets way too early and had to carry them for the rest of the day.

We enjoyed lunch here.

The courtyard beside the steps in the above pic.

A very large sink in the ladies restroom.

The other half.

Strawberry Margarita
Paloma
Tequila Sunrise
Bloody Mary

A few drinks in a couple of spots, lunch at Mi Casa, which we all enjoyed, and off home again. No line, and we passed through customs and were home around 3 pm. Happy hour until dark, no call to dad tonight. We called it a night.  Arizona does not participate in the time change, but we are now 3 hours behind Ontario since we don’t change the clocks.

Sunset tonight here in Southern California.

A beautiful, warm, partially sunny day here in the desert today, truly the type of weather I was hoping to have all winter.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope you had a wonderful day as well.

Until next time…..

Take care, stay safe,

Deb

  1. One of these days I would like to spend all day in Algodones instead of my usual in and out in 30 minutes. Especially this time of year since there are less people.

    1. Weekends are better, no lines to come back. The vehicle back up is tiresome as most are going to Mexico but drive along the roads edge and turn into the parking lot, very few cars.

  2. Where's the picture of the baskets? I remember when we went there on Saturday the cars lined up going into Mexico were long but the que coming out was non-existent.

    1. The line was gone when we came home this time but it wasn’t the last time, it still reached to the cheap seat parking. I will have to remember to take pics of the baskets.

    1. It was, we enjoyed it very much. We took the Doug Laning breakfast approach to the visit. A little resting, a little walking, a little resting, a little walking. Lol. It was a very beautiful sunset.

    1. The drinks tasted as good as they looked. I think the rocks were cool, no idea why they were there but it was a conversation starter. The sunset was beautiful.
