A walk in the wash.....

Our Location:

North of MM 4, Ogilby Road, Winterhaven, California

It's a photo kind of day. A few days ago I went for a stroll and here's a little of what I witnessed.

The recent rain made ripples in the sand.

The wind helped to dry it out.

In those shadows it's very moist. You can see the different colour.

Can you see the pink way down there?

Chatting with my dad yesterday I learned they had a big dump of snow again. It seems the snow comes and goes as much as the wind.

This is the  pink that was way off in the distance in the above pic.

Blooms in the future. The spikes are about 6 " long. I love the colours.

Between the wind blowing and my shaking, it is a pretty good pic.

Until next time....

Take care, stay safe,

Deb

  1. Good photos of where the water ran in the washes. That opportunity does not last long.

    1. Thanks. No that look doesn’t last long, life is ever changing and so is the sand.

    1. You are most welcome. The colours are so vivid against the browns.

  4. Love love seeing the cactus bloom. Nothing happening here yet, it's still too cold I think.

    1. The blooms are slow, mostly on the south side as well. The direction of the wind might make a difference in the opening of the blooms. Just a guess though.
