Sunset, errands ....

Our Location: Near American Girl Mine Road, BLM, CA

A wonderful nights sleep and although I slept all night I think I could have used another hour or so but at 5 am my head said I was finished sleeping.

Sunset tonight, January 4th, 2020.

The yellow is starting to show now.

No one home at the neighbours but yes that is the Stinger Bee over there.

Riley and I ran some errands this morning, garbage and water, as well as groceries in Yuma. We stopped at Ferrel Gas to see if they would fill our propane tank as when we were there before the fella was off sick. I don't know if he's still sick or not because they were closed.

You know you are in the desert when you can see the Ocotillo during a sunset.

Margaret doing something to her tent. Margaret is our other neighbour, but I think the neighbourhood may be changing soon.

After errands it was back home, put away the groceries, sit in the sun/shade for a while. I even strolled up to see if Tom was finding any gold as he dug around in their yard. Deb came out and we chatted for a bit before I headed on back home.  Deb & Tom for those that don't know are the neighbours in the yellow Stinger Bee motor home. You can find them at this link : Celebrating the Dance.  By the way, if Tom found any gold, he wasn't sharing.

I've kind of decided to skip posting any more photos of our adventure yesterday since both Doug (Miss Adventure Travels) and Deb & Tom (Celebrating the Dance) will be posting more of them. I've already posted 4 blogs using those photos and so I think you folks may be tired of seeing them since many of you read all of these blogs.

You can see the sky is starting to fade, notice the top of the photo.

A call to dad tonight, but only a very short chat as my sister Janet and her partner Rick were there visiting. Speedy recovery wishes to cousin Bob who fell and broke a hip a couple of days ago.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you all had a fantastic day where ever you may be and doing whatever you were doing.

Until next time.. take care, be safe,

Day is slipping into dusk and soon it will be dark.

Deb

  2. I'm pretty sure if all I had was a tent, I would NOT be spending time in the desert! More beautiful sunset pictures. I love it!

It's hard to take a bad sunset photo.

  3. I just caught up on all your adventures with your buddies. I bet it was nice to have them all there wandering around the desert. We do miss that part of the desert and the peacefulness of it. Have fun.

You have some great neighbors out that way. Try to keep them all out of trouble!

    1. Thanks Dave.
I make no claim to the behaviour of any of them. Haha. I have a hard enough time keeping myself out of trouble.

    1. The sunsets are stunning and we are all very fortunate to witness them first hand.
Tom claims he's found no gold but I'm not sure, I think I hear him out there digging later in the wee hours before dawn.
We are enjoying having Deb & Tom and Doug & Yuma nearby.

      Take care, be safe,
      Deb

  6. First of all I/we would never get tired of seeing any pictures of that ride...:)
No gold so far but there is a very nice fire pit and he is willing to share a campfire if the wind dies down...lol
The sunrises and sunsets are wonderful out here. Nice capture of the color.

Thanks Deb. I agree, Tom has a very nice fire pit, he's done an excellent job.
The sunsets are stunning and as you know, point and shoot, it's hard to mess it up.
