A quiet day, photos from yesterday...

Our Location: Truckhaven BLM, Salton City, CA

A quiet day today, we watched as the folks started departing early in the morning and continued their exodus all day long. The long weekend now over.  Since the cloudy skies, dark in some cases, brought the idea of rain we stayed close to home. I ended up taking a 3 and a half mile walk this morning but I'll show photos tomorrow. Today's photos were all taken yesterday.

Yesterday's (Sun Jan 19) sunrise over the Salton Sea.

You can see it just popping over the horizon.

A few days ago I posted a picture of this arch with Riley standing under it. Yesterday morning while Doug, Yuma & I were out walking I caught the sun's rays as it broke over the mountain behind and cast it's glow through the arch.

 Don't you love the colours?

So many ways to go, which one would you pick?

I think that is a very humpy bumpy path.

I hope you enjoyed the photos and your visit. Feel free to leave a comment if you like.

Until next time... take care, be safe,

Deb

    1. I liked that photo as well. I'm not sure how I managed it but I guess I was lucky. We have enjoyed the Truckhaven BLM area, and I think it is some place we will come back to in the future. Thanks for sharing some time with us here.

    1. Thanks Elva. I was thinking of you and Jerry and wondering if you ever stop in the area. It's pretty to see and I think the views are stunning. I know it's not far from your Pilot Knob location but it might be worth a stop to see some time.
