Our Location: Near American Girl Mine Road, BLM, CA
A cloudy morning this morning, we had a splash or two of sunshine but nothing that lasted long. Warm temperatures though, with no wind. After a pancake breakfast we headed out to the old Ghost Town of Tumco. I visited last year but we thought it would be a good walk and we'd see something different.
Sunshine first thing way off in the distance.
So today's photos are mostly of the old town of Tumco just up the road from our current location. A few campers there but the roads are very rough, even going slowly they are grueling to pass over.
That is sand, very hard packed sand.
In the wash, the sand isn't as hard packed in places.
The sand is almost orange in colour.
Our walk there had us doing a little over 2 miles by the time we got back to the Dogsled. Pretty easy walking even though some of it was in the loose sand.
Returning home we settled in to read and spent the rest of the day inside as the rain started slowly around noon. It never rained hard but a continuous light sprinkle all afternoon and into the evening, not a sopping wet kind of rain but enough to run off the tilt windows that we had open this afternoon. A thick cloud cover meant no sign of the sunset at all.

A Happy Birthday to Dad's friend Marion. The birthday lady is moving along in her early 90's. We wish her a wonderful day.
So there you have it, a pretty quiet day with a nice walk this morning but a very lazy afternoon due to rain. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Until next time.. take care, be safe,
