A picture day.....

Our Location: Near Tonopah, Arizona

A very quiet day with only a short road hike this morning. I hope you enjoy the photos I chose to share today.  They were taken yesterday on my hike.

Some pretty yellow flowers.

Pretty aren't they?

The beginnings of a blooms coming on....

I'd like to climb up there some day.

Whatever the reason both of these 'trees' died. A Saguaro Cactus and I think a Palo Verde tree.

Way off in the distance behind the first set of hills, that isn't a road but the power lines.

These vehicles are quite a distance from me, but with my zoom lens they are very visible.

Sunshine and shadows make a huge difference in the landscape.

Not a smooth desert floor.

Teddy Bear Cholla or Jumping Cactus.

Water has dug this hole in the side of the arroyo.

The colours are amazing.

I'm always amazed at the different colours of mountains and hills.

Very rugged looking aren't they?

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the picture show today.

Until next time... take care, be safe,

Deb

  1. Hello, I have been out of touch and just caught up. Sorry to read you were not feeling well and then glad to read you are back to yourself. WOW your pictures are beautiful. The wildflowers, Saguaros, mountains up close, the rocks, and the distant shots just beautiful. Plus, from your pictures you have been having some wonderful sunsets. I especially loved how you caught the fog on the mountain yesterday. I love seeing the green grass in between the rocks and how it sparkles in the light of the sunrise and sunset.
Oh, and lots of banana bread in ones future is not a bad thing...lol Tom would be thrilled...:)
    Hi to Riley. Take care.

    1. I'm glad you're enjoying the photos. Some roads or trails I think you and Tom would enjoy in the jeep. Not spectacular views like when you actually climb the mountain but still very nice. Not too rough either, I think the Dogsled could travel many of them if they were wider. I love the green and the colours as well.
Like Tom I don't mind more banana bread in the future either. Haha

  4. Such beautiful pictures! I can understand your 'itch' to climb up to that hole in the mountain. It reminds me of Arches National Park. :)
