Our Location:
Olympia Village Rv Park, 1161 4th Concession
We woke to a very frosty morning, a temperature of about 27F/2.7C. A thick layer of frost on the Dogsled and the Igloo. A bit chilly inside the igloo too. However we managed to be on the road before 9 am. A nice slow drive and we ended up here at the park by 2:30 am. It took us about 40 minutes and four guys helping before we were pulled into our spot. A tight park with too many roads and no sign posts. Oh well, we are here for a few days and then hopefully we will be rolling southward.
It looked like ice on this little pond. |
Laundry room, bathrooms and pool change rooms.
We have a number of things on the list to accomplish before we head south and we hope to have them completed so we can roll southward as early as Friday. Time will tell.
That’s it for today. Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time……
Take care, be safe……
Deb
Takes a little time to get into the travel groove. Hope the weather holds out till you get further south. Enjoy your days down.
ReplyDeleteIt does take a little settling in again. Two pretty short days have us getting back to how it works again. We are hoping any ugly weather holds until after we’ve left.

Where will you cross? MI is supposed to have a mixture of cool and warm days in the next week. The first snow storm is rolling across the rockies , I think heading south is a great idea ! Travel Safe
ReplyDeleteWe always cross in Detroit. An hour has us running into Ohio and another 5 hours has us crossed into Kentucky and setting sights on Louisville. After that it’s usually pretty good, cool to coldish and it gets better with every hour. Thanks for the good wishes. Stay warm.

Good to see you have had a good day on the road. Safe0 travels.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill. It usually takes me a couple of days to get back in the groove. We should be good now.

So great to hear from you guys!
ReplyDeleteYes- the temperatures are dropping quickly.
Still no frost here on the island - but no hydro yesterday - planned maintenance - 8:00 until 7:00 pm - a bit stressful. Everything back to normal - thank goodness!z.
Too cold for me on the Rock. We hurried as fast as the wheels could go. Lol. We had frost a few times before we left but it melted quickly as the morning sun popped out. Yes I knew about the power, there was a massive amount of Hydro One trucks from Manitowaning to Espanola. At least that work is finished and life can get back to normal.

You are so patient. I would probably have gone to another park ... or maybe Walmart! LOL
ReplyDeleteThere is very little open this time of the year. I have found this one, one that has grass, no gravel or cement, and another that is about an hour from here and we wanted to be in this area. So patient was actually necessary.

Good for you guys. I bet it is nice to be rolling. Take your time, see the sights and enjoy yourself.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to be moving again but we will be here for a little bit. We have plans in this area and so will be hanging around for a bit. WE are however thinking of a few things we can do while we are here.

That must be a tight spot if you needed help getting in. Glad you had an uneventful travel day. Enjoy your time there getting everything you need to get done, done. Then continued safe travels.
ReplyDeleteIt is very tight and very confusing with no street names. We like uneventful, and we look forward to many more once we get the wheels rolling again.

Seems it is time for snowbirds to fly, we are happy we left Alberta a little early this year. It is not pretty up there at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI agree, you folks left at the right time. Safe travels as the wheels roll.
