Our Location: BLM near Ogilby Road, Winterhaven, CA
I slept well last night and awoke refreshed and ready for the day. I was out the door with the camera around 6:30 AM (Arizona Time) but it was still too dark to see anything. I started walking toward Ogilby Road while I waited for the sun to rise. A few nice shots but nothing jaw dropping.
The beginning of the sunset tonight. |
The only effort we made today was to head to the rest area for a dump run, we then headed to the Pilot Knob exit for drinking water. We checked out a few areas before coming back home.
It was truly a wonderful view. |
A bit of reading, a bit of putzing and before we knew it the day was finished. I spoke with my dad a couple of times, left a message on daughter Bradey's voice mail and chatted with my Aunt Shirley today. So I'm pretty much caught up with what's happening back on Manitoulin Island.
It's hard to improve on Mother Nature when she's painting the sky. |
So as you can see it was an errand kind of day with not much else happening. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate the visit. I hope you enjoy tonight's sunset pictures nearly as much as I enjoyed the sunset.
Just sinking below the horizon for another night. |
Until next time....take care, be safe,
The colour is beginning to fade. |

Wonderful sunsets and great daytime scenery. You guys are definitely enjoying the desert.
ReplyDeleteStay safe!
WE are indeed enjoying the desert. I love the sunrises and sunsets, they offer a view that we don't often see in Ontario. At least not the expansive view.

Pictures are beautiful Deb! Even on a slow day it just flies anymore doesn't it?! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shirley. The days do just fly by or seem to anyway. Of course I think being on Arizona time helps too. Since Yuma is our go to place it seems only reasonable to set the clocks to AR time even though we are technically in California.

Nothing like just enjoying the desert, and thats what we do as well. Similar sky photos to mine here as well.
ReplyDeleteWe are enjoying the desert a great deal George. You too must have had a tremendous sunset.

Days do fly by. I often wonder how I even found time in my day to work when I was working. Great sunset pictures. For something that happens every day they never seem to be the same.
ReplyDeleteI've often wondered how I found time to do all the things I did in a day as well Peter. Now when I have less 'things to do' and more time to do them I'm amazed how much was crammed into a day.
DeleteThe sunrises and sunsets here in the desert are amazing. I agree they are never quite the same but then again a work of art isn't ever quite the same no matter how many times it's repeated.
Take care, be safe,
