A busy day....

Our Location:

North of MM 4, Ogilby Road, Winterhaven, California

No walk today, but we did dump our tanks, moved a few feet from where we were and then grabbed Doug to head into Yuma for groceries, water and to get rid of some garbage. That was our day. Some photos to share, some from yesterday as well.

The moon this morning on it's way down.  Sorry for the slanted photo but I didn't edit this at all.

On the opposite side, the sun was coming up.

The sand is paper thin where it's hanging down but very brittle.

Layers and layers, and the colours are different depending on where the sand is located.

The water and wind cut pathways through it everywhere.

You can see it falls off in slabs, first they split and then they fall.

Like stone.

Water and wind are wearing a groove in the middle of a large hard section.

Wide water ways are all bottomed with loose sand.

The old cyanide tanks are slowly falling apart. Yuma had to inspect them.

They all sat on beams like this one.

Way back behind we found an open pit mine. I love the veining in the rock.

I think it would be fascinating to walk those levels.

A big machine made those scratch  marks.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the last of the pics from Tumco.

Until next time.....

Take care, be safe,

Deb
