Dreary day....

Our Location: Near American Girl Mine Road, BLM, CA

A very dull, overcast, grey day with some rain. Cold enough that we ran the heater off and on throughout the day. Our neighbour Kay dropped by for about 30 minutes just before the rain came. Rascal still hasn't come back and someone heard the coyotes a few nights ago. So I doubt that he will be back. A chat with SIL Janet today as well, we are making tentative plans for lunch in a few weeks. A very wonderful sunset even in this very cloudy sky.

I enhanced this photo, it was so grey before I did. You can see the cloud cover and the grey skies. It was like this all day to the north and to the east.

The beginning of sunset.

The show started getting better.

It faded to black quickly after this photo.

We hope you had a wonderful day, thanks for stopping by.

Until next time... take care, be safe,

Deb

  1. Not much fun being stuck inside during cold wet weather. I know your feeling. We got stuck inside for a few days years ago in the same area you are. We were camped about a hundred yards south of American Girl Mine road. But what a great feeling it is to get back outside once the bad weather has passed. Sunny warm days ahead for you......

    1. So true. It's wonderful to be able to get outside and wander around, even just to sit in the sunshine, get the doors and windows open. However for the few days we have bad weather I'm still very happy to be here.

  3. I'm glad to see we weren't the only ones with the heater off and on through out the day. Looks like lots of sunshine today!

    1. Yeah, it was sunshine! I don't mind turning on the heater to give us a blast of warmth for a bit. No sense in being cold just because it's not 'cold' outside.

  4. Same sort of day here. Though it was nice to see the sun at the end of the day. You did a wonderful job of capturing the sunset.
Merry Christmas Eve, to you and Riley!

    1. There is something riveting about the desert skies and sunrise or sunset. No two are alike and each one is special.
