Our Location: Near Tonopah, Arizona
A very cold morning with the temperature reading 31 F/ - .5 C but the saving grace of no wind made the day feel much warmer. We had a full day of wonderful sun shine and much warmer day time temperatures than predicted. No complaints about the weather today.

So small and soft looking, aren't they? |

Hedge Hog cactus, some healthy, some not so healthy. |
A couple of strolls for me today but no hiking and I stuck to mostly good roads with only one or two little cross country paths. I met a fellow Canadian Jack, I waved to Jack's wife Nancy but didn't meet her. They hail from the area around Winnipeg, Manitoba. Jack was trying to decide if his motor home would make it through a wash or if he'd have an issue. As it turned out, Jack decided to by pass the parking in that particular area. However tomorrow we will pack up the Igloo and move to the area, I have no worries about us making it through the wash.

Some Teddy Bear Cholla and a couple of Ocotillo. |
A call to my friend Linda tonight and a call to Courtney as well pretty much rounded out the day. So there you have it, a few words for a quiet day. Today's pictures are the last ones from my hike of a few days ago.

Saguaro's in all shapes and various states of health. |
|
I'm amazed how new 'ribs' just appear and how creases or bends or ripples seem to all of a sudden be there. |
|
The bottom three photos are of the same thing. Arms around the Saguaro and the limb is starting to puncture the young Saguaro. |
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you had a very pleasant day where ever you may be and whatever you may have done to pass the time.

We see this mountain out our door. The views vary greatly depending on the sun and the shadows. |
|
At times it looks like a completely different mountain. |
|
I never tire of this view. |
Until next time... take care, be safe,
Deb
Nice to have the wind die down somewhat made for a pleasant day here, also.
ReplyDeleteSometimes no words are needed the pictures say it all. Beautiful!
Stay safe.
Always nice to have calm days, with no wind and plenty of sunshine.
DeleteThanks Deb.

Even though cold overnight the sunshine and less wind to day made it very nice. Enjoy your new location.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the cold weather is behind us and better stuff is ahead. We're hopeful anyway. Thanks George. Safe travels.

Yesterday was a lovely day here in Q too. We are moving on today ourselves. Your pictures are always something to see! Sounds like a wonderful day to me!
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed a very laid back day with a bit of walking around, I enjoyed talking to Jack, he's been coming here for a long time. Thanks Shirley, I enjoy the views here and am always awed by the beauty.
DeleteSafe travels to you and Ken as move on down the road.
Take care, be safe,
Deb
Beautiful pictures, Deb. Our fivers are higher than the motorhomes so we don't have the same issues.
ReplyDeleteNice that the wind calmed yesterday, it was a nicer day here too.
Thanks Patsy. True we are much higher, Jack's worried about dragging the bumpers and I'm a little cautious about the back jacks. However the wash has had some work since last year and I'm much less worried about it this year.
DeleteYeah we like less wind and more sun too. Makes for nicer days but still no complaints about the weather after talking with folks back home.
Take care, be safe,
Deb
