A few sunrise photos…

Our Location:

Ogilby Road, Winterhaven, California

It’s quiet, we’ve had a few drops of rain, but nothing much. The sky was very dark yesterday but the wild weather went around us. I haven’t posted any or many sunrise pics this year so I thought I would share a few.

Igloo 2.0, Dogsled  and The Stinger B, Baby B

The Barrel Cactus are starting to bud, look closely and you will see them.

The wash/arroyo near us.

Sunrise, Feb 5, 2024

The sky was a very fiery red.

The sunrise reflected in the windows.

I think this may be my favourite pic so far this year.

Happy Birthday to Robert. He celebrated yesterday. He and wife Daisy live a short distance from our summer place. Robert is a very handy fellow, a quick smile, and always ready to help. We know you had cake and ice cream, hope you enjoyed it.

Lots of helicopters overhead, a few jets as well.

Also Happy Birthday wishes to Hudson, he celebrates on the 11th. He is a sweetheart. He is my nephew Jason and lovely bride Leah’s oldest child. He is a big brother to Lainey. I believe Mr. Hudson is 3 this year. He is a dare devil like his dad, he likes speed and noisy engines. Happy Birthday Hudson.

Sent to me from the Island, a friend of Dad’s.

I don’t know the dog’s name. The snow is wet, sticking to the trees.

Until next time…..

Take care, stay safe,

Deb

  1. The desert sky can really put on a show! Good to hear you're staying out of the storm's path ... altho not being hammered, we are getting pretty wet :)

    1. Thanks. Mother Nature provides the beauty and I’m fortunate enough to capture a little.
It appeared all the weather was south and east of us, Yuma, Wellton area, or much further west and north. We just managed to be in the almost free zone.
It seems Ontario is missing most of the weather this winter although the old folks are worried about March and April being ugly. Also the snow replenishes the water, ground and lake, that seems to be on their minds too. However, no snow and warmer temps are always nice.

    1. Thanks. I do not miss the snow one little bit either. I always marvel at its beauty but I would rather be a long distance viewer! lol
