Our Location:
Mercer County Fairgrounds, Celina, Ohio
We left Carrolton, Ky around 7:30 am this morning. A heavy dew on the windshield but it wasn't cold. Today was an easy day and we took our time. We travelled approx 186 miles/299 km, the Big Dog ran well and we had a head wind yet again. The roads were again decent in places and some pretty big grooves and holes in other places. We need to find a better way of joining bridges to pavement!!! We arrived here at the fairgrounds and finally found our spot, put the feet down and called Dad at 12:30 pm, EDT of course. We have never been in this area before, about 20 miles from Wapaknoneta, it's a nice location, a bit confusing inside the grounds but we figured it out, or at least we think we did. Sunny, warm but breezy, we have no complaints. Tomorrow I will post a few pics of the fairgrounds.
Welcome to Cincinnati rush hour this morning. |
Dandelions are blooming. Trees are in blossom and some are leafing out, the grass is brilliant green. Spring is here in Ohio.
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you've had an excellent day.
Until next time....
Take care, stay safe,
Deb
I think Cincy always is in 'rush hour' mode ... so darn much construction! Enjoy your day off!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Actually I thought Cincinnati was almost constructionless this time around.

Pretty picture of the Cincinnati sky line.
ReplyDeleteWe had a while to get it, traffic was slower than mid day travel and the hill coming from Florence offers a great view.

I agree that's a pretty picture of the skyline. I've never been to Ohio. Jerry used to make deliveries to Lorain Ohio but I was never with him.
ReplyDeleteIt is a pretty picture. I haven’t spent a lot of time Ohio, usually just passing through or resting from many travels days.

Glad you had an easy drive today. Enjoy a nice evening and have a safe journey tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWe are sitting for a few days but are enjoying the rest and the weather. A cold front moves into Ontario a couple of days after we get back, day time highs might reach 50f.

Ohio is very bright with its green grass and yellow dandelions. I thought the same thing today when we drove through. Enjoy your stay. We also have stopped for 3 nights.
ReplyDeleteGlad you arrived safely. Enjoy the rest and warmth.

The skyline picture going into Cincinnati is very familiar and now that song, you know what one, is stuck in my head again...lol The green grass and dandelions are beautiful. Glad you two are safe and tucked in for a few days.
ReplyDeleteIt popped into my head too! Lol.
DeleteWe are going to soak up some heat. You and Tom enjoy the down time too.

Even with brand new highways, the underpasses are AWFUL!!! No wonder so many things break on an RV. The fairgrounds sounds nice ... the big city, not so much! It's green and gorgeous though!! Enjoy!!
ReplyDeleteYou would live grounds, horse barns with all the wonderful smells, hay, leather, sweat, manure. We even managed to see a few laps this morning.
