Our Location: Las Cienegas Grasslands, Sonoita, AZ
A very warm night last night, quiet too, no serenading coyotes that I heard. It was a bit windy before I nodded off but I didn't hear it through it the night. The morning dawned with dull, overcast skies which basically stayed that way all day. We managed to see a hint of our shadows on our walk but we really didn't see the sun today. Breezy but warm, high in the low 70's/ 21-23C for the day.
So different than we are used to seeing. A sea of grass waving in the wind.
We walked together today, leaving the Igloo we headed off to walk to the ranch house headquarters or in the general direction. We managed to enjoy our leisurely stroll and even dipped our toes to touch the cattle guard that marks the edge of the headquarters property line. Turning for home we noted that it was 2 1/4 miles from the Igloo to the cattle guard mentioned above. We also had to turn around and come home, a couple off quick peeks off of the road way and we end up being just under 4 3/4 miles today on our walk. We were slow and took our time which ended up being just over an hour and a half.
A quiet day here at home after that, Riley made banana bread late this afternoon and it smells wonderful. Soon we'll be giving it a taste test.
Must be cold at those higher elevations as the snow is sticking around.
So there you have it, our very quiet but wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your visit.
The views are amazing.
Until next time... take care, be safe,
I'd like to walk over there but I think I'll pass for now. Sure does look inviting though.
We are staying in this area.
