Very windy all day, except for Tom, we didn’t do more than venture outside the doors of our rigs today. Tom being brave drove to get water and get rid of our trash. Thanks Tom. We even by passed happy hour today. Deb and I chatted as we snapped pics of the sunset.
The wind died down for a few hours but is once again picking up as I type this at 9:00 pm Arizona time. We spent the day with the two living room slides pulled part way in keep the toppers from ripping off. I may end up bringing them both back in tonight too. We shall see.
The only pics taken today was sunset pics. I hope you enjoy them.
Until next time….
Take care, stay safe,
Deb
It was nice seeing you for a few minutes this evening as the sun set on what was a windy day. That was quite a walk you posted yesterday. It is interesting what is on the floor of the desert as you walk. Nice to hear you saw some Ocotillo with signs of turning green.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to chat for a few minutes without being blown away. Lol. I always enjoy the walks in the desert, my feet need to find the proper paths again.

I went for my walk yesterday morning, but turned back when the wind blew the Air Pods right out of my ear. Got a shorter version in later in the afternoon, and the wind chilled a little at sundown, but we pretty much hid in the rig all day.
ReplyDeleteWe too hid in the rig all day. I love the wind blowing the air pods, very cute.

Being more familiar with La Posa, I can just picture all the newbies out there chasing their sunshades across the desert. It blew here for a full day too. Luckily, our house is protected from the north and the west where most of it comes from.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine a few folks chasing items but none were visible here and the visibility was good. No blowing sand obscuring the views, which was surprising.

I had the same problem with my Class A. I was going to have some toppers installed on my fifth wheel, but maybe I'll rethink that. Seems it's windier this year than in the past.
ReplyDeleteI would like to have them removed. We were starting to remove them on the old rig. Too much trouble in the wind.

Yup. Windy here too but we still went for a ride. It wasn't windy in the Jeep!
ReplyDeletelol. I bet it was cozy in the Jeep!

Sorry to hear the weather is not up to par.
ReplyDeleteYou know how some days are just windy, no matter where you sit. We didn’t blow away, it wasn’t dusty, we didn’t have to shovel anything, it wasn’t raining, nor was it extremely cold, it was a decent day overall.

Local station says wind gusts above 50 mph can be expected in the mountain passes. We replaced a slide topper earlier this year. Brea out a kite and enjoy the wind and sun.
ReplyDeleteWe stay tucked inside and i managed a nap, a few hours of reading, a bit of computer time and overall an okay inside day.

It wasn't a pleasant outside day here either. My gazebo was my shelter though and I spent some time out there painting. :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you. I did all of my stuff inside with a couple of trips outside now and then.

They are pretty sunset pictures, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou are most welcome.
