Our Location:
Road Runner BLM, Quartzsite, Arizona
A very chilly start to the day at 40 F/4C. It warmed up nicely as the day went along, I’m not sure of the final number but it was very pleasant.
The end of the climb, Tom turned around here. |
The elements have worn this hole over time. |
Riley and I had a lazy day and I enjoyed Happy Hour with Deb and Tom, a chat later with my dad and that was our day. I forgot to mention in yesterday’s post a Happy Birthday to son in law David. I did wish him happy birthday yesterday but forgot to mention it in the blog. David is married to my middle daughter Bradey and the proud father of two boys, Auston and Lincoln. We are very fortunate to have such a nice young man in the family.
The water has worn this path…. |
to this end. Can you see the tank down there? |
A few more pics from the Jeep ride in King Valley Road. I have enough for one more post after it’s one.
This staghorn cactus is showing red on the tip. |
I love the views. |
Until next time….
Take care, stay safe,
Deb
You really took some lovely pictures of our ride down King Valley Road. We are so glad you and Riley joined us for the ride. It was truly great to see blue sky all day today. Maybe like you mentioned yesterday after all this rain, perhaps the desert will bloom before we leave. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
ReplyDeleteIt would be awesome to see the desert in bloom. Hopefully the weather continues to improve as each day goes by. Thanks for inviting us along on the ride. We had a great time.

One of these days I'll drive down that road. Your pictures make it look so interesting.
ReplyDeleteIt is off to the tanks, Horse Tank and company. A very beautiful spot. Lots of walking though.

Beautiful pictures, Deb. So looking forward to the warmer days ahead as I am sure you are.
ReplyDeleteThanks Doug. Yes we are all looking forward to better days, warmer, dryer and morning coffee outside.

We're back to Borrego with the expectation there will be some blooms worth seeing, perhaps even dense pockets. Altho King Valley Road looks like a good adventure, we'll not make it that far east.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, I hope you find the blooms you hope to find. I think the desert in bloom will be an amazing sight. Enjoy your time at Borrego Springs.
