(yesterday's post)
A very quiet, peaceful day. A walk before 9 AM and back home to do a few phone calls and relax. We're getting pretty good at the relaxing part of things. Some time in the sun, some time in the shade, back to the sun, you get the idea right?
|
First one.... |
|
Then another..... |
|
And the beginnings of yet another..... |
I believe this may have been fields burning in a controlled burn situation, as before long the smoke rose again twice more off to the right. The smoke hung in the air for a while but soon was gone. We didn't smell anything.
|
The beginning of our sunset. |
|
Some very pink skies off to the Northwest. |
|
Some very yellow skies in the west. |
Chatted with my dad while taking these sunset photos. We caught up on the local stuff happening back there. Snow, snow, snow and maybe some more snow. Wind, wind and more wind.
|
Can you see the moon? |
|
It's kind of shimmering behind the clouds. |
|
In the exact opposite direction the sun is sinking. |
Not an exciting day but we enjoy them. The photos show the sunset and the moon rising in tandem. It was definitely an interesting show. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the visit.
Until next time.. take care, be safe,

I like the idea of relaxing. This winter I'll be doing a lot more of it.
ReplyDeleteI think we will be as well. Not as much hiking for me at least. I think I'll get more books read. Haha

Good think that you could not smell the smoke. Great idea with the sunset and moon sequence.
ReplyDeleteThanks Contessa. I stood at the back edge of the Igloo and simply turned one way and then the other. It was an interesting view of the moon. I was happy not to smell it.

Relaxing days are a perfect way to spend the winter days. Withe decent weather keep enjoying.
ReplyDeleteThanks George. I think relaxing is going to be a more common event this winter. Less hiking.

Interesting how those columns of smoke went straight up then seemed to hit a change in the atmosphere that dispersed them.
ReplyDeleteKeep relaxing and enjoying the little things. It's all good!
I thought it was a bit odd myself but I wonder if that is where the wind finally managed to catch them due to the surrounding dunes or mountains.
DeleteRelaxing with a good book works wonders for a person.

The last full moon of the year. It was definitely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt most definitely was beautiful and the way it came over the mountain was amazing for me.

We saw that smoke too. And yes....no smell.
ReplyDeleteIt went on for a while, I thought they must be doing several fields in the same area or maybe just many parts of the same one as they were so close together. A new area was a new plume which you could see easily. Glad we didn't get the smell.
