A lazy day today again. We did a few little chores but with a cool wind, cloudy skies and rain shortly after the noon hour, we pretty much just hunkered down and amused ourselves.
New comers with a nice truck! |
Been here for about 5 days. |
These folks are still here. They were ones that lost the dog when we were here last. Still in the same place and it appears they haven't left. |
The afternoon was better but neither of us were inspired to do much of anything and so we continued to do just what we had accomplished this morning, amusing ourselves. Riley had a nap today again. She hasn't been feeling the best the last few days which is also a reason we haven't been doing too much. The sun came out for a bit, it was somewhat warmer for a while but quickly started cooling off again.
Sunset begins tonight. |
The pictures do not capture the vivid colour but you get the idea. |
A few rigs came and few rigs left today but otherwise the neighborhood was very quiet. The odd train rumbled along the tracks, blowing it’s whistle at the level crossing but we neither heard nor seen any air craft of any kind today.
The red was fiery, the yellows were liquid gold. |
Riley had a campfire this evening (so I hope she's starting to feel better), she’s had a couple since we’ve been out here in California. She doesn’t want them to last longer than a half hour or so but she likes to poke and prod for a bit before smothering them with sand and coming inside. One of these days we’ll have to get a hot dog roasting stick. Unlike back home we have numerous sticks but never seem to bring them with us.
So another lazy day with some rain, some sun and bit of cool breeze. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day and we can get out a do a few things. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your visit.
Until next time… take care, be safe,
Good night from Ogilby Road, California |

I do miss those Arizona days in the desert. I'm not sure what there is about a big gravel pit but it does draw you to it. Enjoy your time there.
ReplyDeleteHahaha.....our summer location is an OLD gravel pit. I guess we are desert dwellers all year round and didn't know it. Thank you my friend you made me laugh.

It was a kind of laid back day with not the nicest weather, but nit a lot of rain and ni snow ia always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteVery true George. I'll take rain over snow during the winter months for sure. I do believe the old saying goes something like: Into each life a little rain must fall.

Great pics and you had all the weather. Looks like a very nice spot in the desert for a home for a bit. Hoping Riley is feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shirley. I think she's feeling better today or at least she seems to be up moving around more.
DeleteIt is a nice spot here and I think we'll hang out for a bit longer.
Take care, be safe,
