It rained all night and was still raining until around 2 pm when it finally stopped. It's a muggy type day with water laying in lots of places. The park is starting to come alive a bit, the sounds of voices drifting in through the open windows. A slight breeze stirs the trees and causes the odd puff of quite cool air in through the windows. The outside temperature reads 66F/19C but with the dampness and the breeze it doesn't feel quite so warm.
Again a do nothing day here except for a quick trip to the dumpster, the office, to pay for another week and do the book exchange. Back home for lunch and to read for a bit. I've been doing some research for our homeward journey as well. We'll take our time when we leave here and wander a few places on the back roads until we reach Ohio, then our last day will be only as far as the ONroute in Tillbury for the night. After that we'll head on home to Hamilton for some appointments.
No pictures, nothing exciting, but thanks for stopping by. Feel free to leave a comment.
Until next time... take care, be safe,
Deb
66F would be nice, but here only 54F overcast and drizzly , but looking for sunshine tomorrow !
ReplyDeleteYes it wasn't a cold day, but the drizzle and rain, plus all the water laying around, adding to that a very cool breeze, it was a good day to stay inside. I haven't seen many days ahead with sunshine in them until we're ready to leave. Which is okay with me, I'd rather have sunshine while I drive and not rain.

Warmer Spring temperatures are taking their time getting here this year and looking ahead at the 14 day forecast I'm not expecting to see a warm up any time soon in Southwestern Ontario. Had us a cold rainy day. Maybe you guys could bring along some of that nice warm 66F stuff for us eh...........
ReplyDeleteI looked at the long range forecast too for the Hamilton area, it doesn't look that good until we cross on the 12th, seems to start warming then. Maybe if you shovel some more of that snow from place to place it'll disappear faster and help warm things up a bit. Hahaha....Believe me Al, if I could send some of this warmer air north, I'd be doing that, things would be warmer when we get there if I could.

I almost hate to report that it's getting too hot and dry in Arizona. Supposed to be nearly 90 in Vegas next week when we are there. But alas, there is still way too much snow in Alberta to head home just yet. Forecast is for more snow and cold. It can't last......can it?
ReplyDeleteHope your weather improves!
I did take note of the word ALMOST,it's kind of you Dave to ALMOST want us to not know you're lazing around in the sun and warmth. Although that is too hot for me, so I'm happy right here where I am. I spoke to my SIL Janet yesterday, Indian Wells, California is also very warm, in the low to mid 90's as well. However when we hit the international border on the 12th it looks like things are warming up, and I didn't see any snow in the forecast so that makes me a happy camper. Hope your weather stays the same!!!

Hopefully the weather will move out and you'll have better weather. Glad you do not have to hurry home!
ReplyDeleteActually I'm not complaining about the weather. I don't mind the rain or the less than balmy temperatures after all it is spring. With out the rain the future growing season wouldn't be a promising one at all. We had very few days of rain all winter, 3 I think, and so we've been due for some. My only wish is that on travel days it's not raining, snowing, or windy. I'm a fair weather hauler. Hahaha...
DeleteI don't like to hurry to the cold, so we'll take our time and spend a week getting from here to the border crossing in Detroit/Windsor. After that it's a couple of hours to where we need to be for a few days and we'll have plenty of time to make that drive as well.

Sure is crummy weather throughout the whole east. I'm wondering why I came back for this cold rain. Hope it clears up for you soon.
ReplyDeleteWell you had to go home sometime. ;) At least you are not stuck in the motor home running the generator every day due to the gloom and no sunshine. Besides isn't it better to be home and off the roads in this weather instead of still driving in it? Cheer up Doug, first of all it isn't snow, second, it can't rain forever, third, it could be worse. Some day the sun will come out, the temperature will rise and you'll be happy to be home and glad you aren't still on the road.
DeleteMe, I'm happy we're plugged in, sitting in a campground, close to town and have tons of books to read. I don't have to drive in it, I don't have to shovel it, and I can turn on the heat if I get cold. I even made soup for these rainy days. It's all good.
Take care, be safe,
