To bad about the winds in the badlands we always think it would be a great place with amazing views.
Sounds like you found a nice place for the time you are there.
Happy New Year to you and Riley! Stay safe. Hope to cross paths in the New Year. It is the holidays, it is time for those to party and play and I have no argument with that. The loud laughter, voices, and music one can deal with for a few nights but the fireworks at 2 am is a bit over the top.
We parked at Apache Junction last year for 2 weeks, I know what you speak of about the 'ride's' going long into the night. We had no issue with that.
This lifestyle is about choices and next year we will make a different choice.

Take care, be safe,
DebOn a long and lonesome highway....https://www.blogger.com/profile/13585276461507236822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4220239671215406231.post-91346941813044447122018-12-31T13:49:54.950-05:002018-12-31T13:49:54.950-05:00I finally got all caught up in your posts since Au...I finally got all caught up in your posts since August. In our pursuits of the ideal spot we always encounter some negatives. I am currently in Apache Junction and the 4 wheelers, dirt bikers, off roaders, etc. are noisy at night and are more frequent on weekends. I just say to myself, "Oh well, it is their play/party area, and I can put up with the noise, when I park with a million dollar view that is free to me".
